What is the real reason the new GOP which is the Tea Party does not want to raise the Debt Ceiling? Let's be very clear, it has nothing to do with entitlements but anger we have a half black president. It's amazing how they don't give a dam about our seniors, gays, minorities, low income families and now attacking our children who needs grants and loans to obtain an education. I ask you has any president in history had to deal with the bullshit as Obama? I sad to think I honestly believed it was not the color of your skin but your skills and the GOP has proven again racism is still alive.
During during the presidency of George W. Bush they combined to vote for a debt limit increase 19 times . In doing so, they increased the debt limit by nearly $4 trillion.
At the beginning of the Bush presidency, the United States debt limit was $5.95 trillion. Despite promises that he would pay off the debt in 10 years, Bush increased the debt to $9.815 trillionby the end of his term, with plenty of help from the four Republicans currently holding Congressional leadership positions: Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl.
